Boxed In -
A Human Trafficking Tale

The story

This performance aims to shock viewers into confronting the harsh realities of human trafficking, where individuals, predominantly women and children, are often treated as commodities to be bought, sold, and traded. By placing a person inside a Barbie box, it challenges viewers to consider the dehumanizing effects of trafficking and the profound lack of agency experienced by its victims.

Artistic performance serves as powerful tool for raising awareness and sparking conversations about important social issues. They force audiences to confront uncomfortable truths and hopefully inspire action towards combating human trafficking and supporting its survivors. We approach such performance with sensitivity and respect for the individuals affected by these issues.

This project was realized in cooperation with the Youth Office of Sremska Mitrovica and Red Cross Organization.
